Refund policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after shipping your item to request a return.

RETURNED MERCHANDISE MAY BE SUBJECT TO A RESTOCKING FEE AND REQUIRES PRIOR AUTHORIZATION. 'SPECIAL ORDER' AND 'FINAL SALE' ITEMS ARE NOT RETURNABLE. CLAIMS FOR DISCREPANCIES IN THE SHIPMENT OR DAMAGED GOODS MUST BE REPORTED WITHIN 5 WORKING DAYS.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

All returns must first have prior written approval from Lighting Supply Guy. A Return Goods Authorization (RGA) Request Form is available by contacting us at customerservice@lightingsupplyguy.com. Once submitted, we will contact you with an RGA number and instructions for return. All returns must clearly reference the RGA # on the outside of the package. Return freight charges are the responsibility of the buyer unless product is incorrectly shipped, damaged, or defective. All returned items must be returned in the original packaging and in re-sellable condition. Returns cannot be made on material that has been installed or used unless it is a warranty claim. Lighting Supply Guy has the right to charge a re-stocking fee, deny the return, issue and exchange, or credit.
Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
RGAs must be requested within 30 days of the carrier's delivery date unless the product is being returned under a warranty claim or a special exemption is made by management.


RGAs for stock items will be charged a 15% re-stocking fee. RGAs for non-stock or special order items may be subject to a higher re-stocking fee or denied return.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like custom products (such as special orders, custom fixtures). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on custom order items or sale items.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
